Concord Church and Pleasant Hill Community Center Wedding

Concord Church and Pleasant Hill Community Center Wedding

Diana and Albert were one of those couples that when you looked at them - you couldn't help but to just smile! This couple oozed of love and endearment - not to mention they looked exquisite on their wedding day and their (yes - both the bride and groom!) two outfit changes!

For the ceremony Diana wore a tight fitted all lace gown covering her neck, shoulders and arms and a cathedral veil that had a little something extra with the intricate lace trim. And Albert wore the classic suit - you can't go wrong with that!

Enjoy their wedding day gallery below:

For the evening reception Diana changed from her long train fitted lace wedding dress to a more fun and flirty layered ballgown! She also changed her hair from an up-do to natural long waves and a princess crown - how adorable is she? Albert followed suit with a traditional attire in white! We say that they complimented each other perfectly! Their reception was filled with lots of pinks and plenty of macaroons! Did you spot those specialized toasting flutes and that mouth watering macaron tower?

BACK YARD GARDEN TENT WEDDING - ALAMO, CA

BACK YARD GARDEN TENT WEDDING - ALAMO, CA

Dianna and Tahner had such a loving family filled affair. With her parents passed away she wanted to have her wedding in her sister's home where their presence was strong and she wanted a place where everyone could feel like home instead of another venue - she opted for a fun and laid back backyard wedding under the tents and starts!

The ceremony was held on the patio area next to the beautiful pool before moving over the the garden area where a giant tent was sent up with beautiful bistro lights dripping from the top corners. They danced the night away with live music DJ with drinks, lawn games and the best desserts! Check out their gallery below:

Standford Memorial Church and Garden Court Hotel Wedding - Palo Alto, CA

Standford Memorial Church and Garden Court Hotel Wedding - Palo Alto, CA

Hannah and Anthony got married at the GORGEOUS Standford Memorial Church where the vines and old arches served as their backdrop after they said their i-dos. Hannah and Anthony especially loved the colors pink and green which were her favorite child hood colors and we think it gave this wedding such a fun affair touch! After the ceremony and group portraits they made their way to their reception which was held at the Garden Court Hotel in Palo Alto. The courtyard is so darling for cocktail and it doubled as their grand exit area which lit up amazingly with sparklers! View their gallery below:

BALL ROOM WEDDING - SCOTTISH RITE TEMPLE, LAKE MERRITT, OAKLAND, CA

Ball room Wedding - SCOTTISH RITE TEMPLE, LAKE MERRITT, OAKLAND, CA

THE VENUE: Church ceremony & ball room reception

Oakland Scottish Rite Temple is one of those buildings that when you walk in you just feel the essence of history with that vintage old-soul flair! Those amazing grand entrance doors towered over the couple and guests leading to a very extravagant entrance experience!

GETTING READY

For a formal wedding such as this the bride and groom each had their own getting ready lounge - the men had a salon type restroom and the ladies had a vintage ladies lounge with exquisite floral wallpaper to admire as they got ready! The Groom adorned a tux with velvet bow tie as the groomsmen wore black suits with slim fitted ties. The Bride lounged in an intricate lace robe as the make up artist worked their magic and the bridesmaids dressed in their lavender gown. A group shot during getting ready is definitely one of our favorites! Future bride and groom do not forget to have your details ready in the morning for your photographers! Examples: Shoes, Watches, Rings, Ring box, Veils etc. And it is always so lovely with a bride takes sometime to do a little boudoir!

FIRST LOOK & PORTRAITS

First looks are definitely the way to go for bride and grooms who would like some time together before the rush of the ceremony and events afterwards! A little tap on the shoulder here and a hug there - our favorite moments! Natalie and Ben spent sometime with their wedding party for portraits before they went back in for ceremony.

THE GRAND CEREMONY

The ceremony room at Oakland Scottish Rite Temple is basically a theater! Doesn't it remind you of Moulin Rouge? Red carpet, gold wooden trims, velvet red rope, red curtains and spot lights ready for the Hollywood couple! This venue is definitely the way to go for the couple who wants a grand old-world elegance statement!

THE RECEPTION, FIRST DANCE & ENTERTAINMENT

The reception was held on the first floor which opened up into a large opulent ballroom with plenty of spotlights and candles. The bride changed into a more modern gown with a vintage bow and after a grand entrance with pops of gold confetti canons they danced away to their First Dance song amongst the fallen confetti. An exciting surprise for the guest as a welcome element were two Champagne Divas! They rolled around the room serving champagnes and posing for pictures - what a fun way to start a reception!

THE SPARKLERS GRAND EXIT

The grand exit! Never a must-have but isn't it just so dreamy when there is one? The sparklers were lit and the couple made their way out those grand building doors, down the grand steps and Ben swooped Natalie up into his arms for this grand exit pose! What a way to end the night!

SEA SIDE WEDDING - MAVERICK'S EVENT CENTER, HALF MOON BAY, CALIFORNIA

SEA SIDE WEDDING - MAVERICK'S EVENT CENTER, HALF MOON BAY, CALIFORNIA

THE VENUE

A little secret garden for you to get married on, surrounded by a few large trees and next to the overview of the gorgeous Half Moon Bay! Jessica and Aaron were a vision and so in love as they strolled around for their portraits at the Maverick's Event Center! Outdoor space, patio area and an indoor dance area for night time. A bride can have it all in one place! Also just look at these gorgeous images - that's the perks of having an outdoor wedding, although it may be windy, if you have a great film photographer - they love all the natural light!

THE DETAILS

Jessica and Aaron wanted a classic blush filled wedding with accents of greens and browns. The bridal suite on site is just perfect for some classic detail shots. Colors don't have to pop to be noticed - soft blush tones were everywhere in this wedding and it oozed such a soft classic touch to the gorgeous event.

GETTING READY

The moments before the bride is all ready is so important - it is the time she shares with her closest friends and mentally prepares herself for the big day. We remind our brides to take a deep breathe and enjoy the process! Admire your dress, laugh with your friends and get ready to look fabulous! A trend that we think will never go out of style is mix-match bridesmaids dresses with the same color tone. In this case Jessica had her bridesmaids adorn blush gowns of different verity neckline but keeping it consistant with the long floor length gowns.

THE CEREMONY

A simple arbor decorated with accents of dahlias and roses pop without a hefty cost! The white folding chairs on the patch of grass over looking the bay view gave such an intimate feel to the touching moment they became husband and wife. Jessica and Aaron as well as their guest enjoyed a cocktail hour on the patio as the staff flipped the ceremony area into a beautiful reception! A great way to save by having the ceremony and reception in one place! There is always a way to make your space work for you.

THE RECEPTION

The same adorable white chairs, the muted blue tone linens with the blush pink roses and dahlias accented the soft table spaces so well! Movable heating lamps were brought out for the breeze and the arbor where they got married served as their back drop for their sweetheart table. Next to them their dessert table filled with delicious cupcakes and an adorable dripping cake. The music played through the air as the guests dined in the garden watching the sun set - it was rather a picture perfect scene if we don't say so ourselves!

THE COUPLE

Jessica and Aaron came to us with an emphasis on making the day wonderful so that their guest can enjoy it with them. These two love birds just wanted good food, good music, and great atmosphere for their fun loving family! They wanted soft blush but understated, they wanted everyone to have fun and for a night their guests danced away in the secluded Half Moon Bay and we are so so happy for them both. Thank you for putting your trust in us and letting us style and create your special day - we wish you both the best of happiness!

WINERY WEDDING - LOCATION: MURRIETA'S Well, LIVEMORE, CALIFORNIA

the wedding

Winery? Tuscany touches? Soft Blush? Gold lettering accents? This wedding is for you! When Kristen and Nicholas contacted us we knew we had to work with them! One of the sweetest couple we have ever had the honor of styling, planning and coordinating for shines in this gallery.

THE BRIDE

A bride's moments in the morning, getting ready, prepping, looking at her jewelry, her wedding dress and just taking a moment to herself and putting on her shoes - those moments are so important for the bride to remember and take it all in. It also helps if you have an amazing photographer to help capture those moments and details!

THE ceremony

Murrieta's Well in Livermore has an outdoor area for ceremony that lets photographers capture beautifully lit images! From the details of the signage, the ceremony arrangements, the processional entrance, the First Kiss, to capturing the guest mingling and enjoy the venue during cocktail hour. Such a relaxing sophisticated atmosphere oozing with winery elegance.

THE RECEPTION

Murrieta's Well in Livermore has an indoor area for reception let lights up with the glow of the candles and their beautiful chandeliers! From the impressive long farm tables to their elegant rounds, from their wooden breams to their polished concrete floors the venue is giving off vineyard elegance! Bellevue Floral Co. placed stunning garlands, centerpieces & we placed olive leaves per place setting to tie it together - leaves courtesy of the bride's adorable aunt! There were also gold accents with gold calligraphy table numbers, signage and the golden glow of candle light and the gorgeous chandelier topped everything off!

THE details

A sophisticated affair that wouldn't break the bank! What's one of the best ways to save on flowers? Have more greens! We incorporated olive branches and leaves all over to tie in the design of the wedding while paired perfectly with the white rose centerpieces!

THE LOVE

Kristen and Nicholas wanted an elegant Tuscany inspired affair that was beautiful by day and romantic by night. Other than the details previously mentioned; soft blush from the bouquet silk ribbons and the bridesmaids dresses added an extra feminine touch to this loving affair. We wish Kristen and Nicholas the very best! But these images speaks for themselves of our in love and surrounded with love they are. Cheers to the happy couple!

Beach Wedding - Lake Tahoe

Beach Wedding - Location: Zephyr Cove, Lake Tahoe, California, CA

Monica & Jason wanted a beautiful laid back - the wind in our hair and sand in our feet- wedding! And we can say that it was definitely what they envisioned! We just love these shots of their first kiss before sun down and another of their newly wed kiss after the sun started to set. If you've always wanted a beach wedding maybe in Hawaii, Thailand, Fiji, Mexico etc. if you are in California; try Lake Tahoe! We were so impressed by the clean cove and awesome weather! Just look at these pictures of them frolicking in the sand and trees!

2985_Monica_Jason_Zephyr_Cove_Lake_Tahoe_Wedding_Photography.jpg

Monica & Jason said I do on the sand, partially in the water and surrounded by a giant garlands of orchid and greenery positioned in a half circle. The bride held a cute bouquet of bright orchids and the groom supported a deep orchid purple tie and dark grey suit. Here's some of the elements we loved from their wedding:

the dress

We cannot stop swooning at this unique dress by Ines Di Santo! It flowed in the wind, the slit was perfectly sexy but still classy, the tulle and organza bow on her chest and her matching hair piece! It hugged her petite frame in all the right places and flared out gorgeously. We can't get enough! Just look at the newly wed strut after being pronounced husband and wife!

FUN WEDDING PARTY

Nothing like a group of friends to liven up your wedding pictures! The bridesmaids supported matching purple dress from Etsy while holding adorable white orchid blooms as the grooms supported shades of grey suites and matching white orchid boutineers.

THE SETTING

We wanted to share some iphone pics of the behind the scenes of this intimate beach side wedding set up! The bride & groom had picture frames of their time together, their families and friends, and a touching memorial section for those who were gone too early to be at this special event. The giant orchid garland was brought onto the cocktail hour lawn to pose surrounding the bride's DIY schedule before moving to the sweetheart table for reception - we loved conserving the environment!

As the sun went down, the string lights glittered and the decorative vases with orchid blooms and candles floating in water created a perfectly romantic ambiance. They also had a dessert table filled with cupcakes supported by organic wooden trays and stand, finishing off with the most adorable cream frosting cake with blush and white orchids on top.

THE EXIT

We know that a lot of weddings have sparkler exits but that is because it's a classic! And also if you are ever wondering if you should have a professional take pictures (especially at night) here is our comparison of our picture and the professional shot. A lovely exit to a lovely event!

Thank you monica & jason for entrusting us with your important day!

Green & Burgundy - SanFrancisco Wedding

GREEN & BURGUNDY WEDDING - Location: sf golf club

LaurenandMasonWedding-220BW.jpg

Lauren & Mason were so laid back and trusted us completely with their special day! Because the father of the bride used to work at the exclusive San Francisco Golf Club we were lucky enough to be there! Everything was so green and the weather was perfect on that beautiful Saturday - no fog in sight! Here are some of our favorite elements of their wedding:

BEAUTIFUL BRIDAL SUITE

The morning of the wedding is so so important for the bride & groom to get ready and prepare themselves mentally and physically. The bridal suite was so beautiful with plenty of light and a gorgeous vanity area for the bride to admire herself and for the grandmother of the bride and her bridesmaids to gush over her from the doorway! Lauren was the spitting image of a classic bride with her lace dress, blush bow, silver crown headpiece, classic pearl accessories and cathedral length fluttery veil. The bridesmaids radiated in deep burgundy dresses.

The classic country club

When planning a wedding; picking a venue is very important! Lauren & Mason wanted a traditional wedding and the interior had lots of wood and radiated that classic flare! If you are lucky, in a venue like this, you do not need to add much because the high ceilings with wood beam details and the sleek shiny wood floors - all you need is your favorite colors - and in this case we paired it with greenery and pops of burgundy. This wedding is an instant classic for us! When you look back 10-20 years from now the pictures are still going to be timeless.

Details Details Details

Lauren & Mason looked amazing! Mason adorned a silky bow tie with a boutineer matching Lauren's organic bouquet of white and greens while the bridesmaids held deep burgundy bouquets and the groomsmen supported dashing slim matching ties. We can't forget the adorable 3-tier cake! Gold silk ribbon trims and styled perfectly with loose floral.

END OF THE NIGHT - Dance & TRANSPORTATION

After dinner the wedding danced away the night once we flipped the ceremony space into a full-on dance area! The DJ rocked the night away with 90s hits and professional lighting. What we loved about this touch of detail at the end of the night is that ALL remaining guests hopped on the rented shuttle buses we had on stand by once the party was over! No worries about drinking and driving. It was an amazing night, in an amazing venue, and we are so glad Lauren & Mason entrusted us with their special day!

Mint & Grey Wedding - Treasure Island, San Francisco

MINT & GREY WEDDING - Location: Treasure Island, San Francisco, California

When our bride Lynda contacted us for her and Chan's Treasure Island wedding we were so excited for such a cute MINT & SILVER theme with the beautiful shoreline view of San Francisco! Although Treasure Island has the reputation of being super windy; it definitely has the most beautiful landscape that attract locals and tourists alike! Lynda and Chan made working with them so easy with lots of laughter and a fun wedding crowd! Here are some of our favorite elements from their wedding:

CUTEST Ring Bearer and Flower Girl

Lynda & Chan's flower girl adorn a cute mint silk flower crown with a pony tail and a cute tutu mint dress, and the finishing touch: silver ballet flats and a round white silk flower ball with a milk organza string for easy holding! The ring bearer was so stylish in his light grey suit, traditional brown shoes and matching mint bow tie!

CHURCH Ceremony - lots of natural lighting

Lynda and Chan's ceremony was held at The Cathedral of the Christ the Light in Oakland, California. Tall ceilings, curved bench seating and plenty of natural light made this a great ceremony venue for those who would like to get married in a church in Oakland, CA! Lynda adorned a Haley Paige ballgown with a detachable lace neckline, supporting a finger tip length veil while holding a silk bouquet made by Songs from the Garden LLC. Chan is the groom version of the ring bearer in his stylish light grey suit, his silk flower boutineer and his matching mint bow tie.

Matching elements: invites, plate settings & cake

DIY invitations by the bride by adding a mint & grey string was so adorable! Traditional chopsticks placed inside silver beaded napkin holders atop an interesting folded mint napkin provided by Ginger Cafe catering. And a beautifully designed cake from La Patisserie with silver laser cut cake topper from Etsy.

The love, the laughter, the smiles

We are so grateful to have such fun and loving clients! Lynda and Chan laughed all the way through their wedding day and we wouldn't have it any other way! Lynda even wore custom-made black and mint sneakers matching the groomsmen! Now if that's not laid back and fun we don't know what is! We would like to thank Lynda and Chan for trusting us with their big day!
